Privacy Policy & Terms of Use
Last Updated: April 29, 2026
The following Privacy Policy and Terms of Use are subject to change at any time and at the sole discretion of the site owner and operator.
Please visit the site regularly for updates.
PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used online. PII, as used in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.
OUTSIDE SITES (THEIR PRIVACY POLICIES MAY BE DIFFERENT)
The Site contains links to other websites, like our sponsors’ websites or links to booksellers, that may offer products or services that our customers might find useful. These sites may request information from you. In such instances, the collection and use of your personal information will be governed by the privacy policy applicable to that site. We do not control the privacy policies, contents or links that appear on these sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services before providing any of them with your personal information.
HOW AND WHY WE COLLECT INFORMATION
We may use the information we collect from you when you register for a webinar, course, product or live event, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use other Site features. If you supply us with your contact information, you may receive periodic emails, mailings, or calls from us with information on new products and services, important issues, or upcoming events.
If you wish to be removed from any postal, email, phone, or other lists, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected]. Please provide us with your exact name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. We will ensure your name is removed from the appropriate lists promptly.
When you use our Sites, we or our authorized technology services provider may also collect certain technical and routing information from you to facilitate your use of the Site and its services. This information is collected in aggregate form, without identifying you or any user individually. We may use this aggregate, non-identifying statistical data for statistical analysis, marketing, or similar promotional purposes. This data is often tracked using ‘cookies’ during your visit.
Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. We use regular malware scanning. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. All sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.
HOW AND WHY WE USE COOKIES
Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart, understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction, and keep track of advertisements.
We may also use trusted third-party services that track this information on our behalf. You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies through your browser settings (such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge). Please consult your browser’s Help menu for instructions specific to your browser. If you disable cookies, some features may be disabled and some of our services may not function properly. However, you can still place orders.
We honor Do Not Track signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.
California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)
CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following: users can visit our site anonymously; we have added a link to this Privacy Policy on our home page; our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found; users will be notified of any privacy policy changes on our Privacy Policy page; and users are able to change their personal information by emailing us or by logging in to their account.
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA and CPRA, effective January 1, 2023:
Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Correct: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: You have the right to limit our use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days.
Colorado Privacy Act (CPA)
As a Colorado-based company, we comply with the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), which took effect July 1, 2023. Colorado residents have the right to: access their personal data, correct inaccurate personal data, delete personal data, obtain a copy of their personal data in a portable format, and opt out of the processing of personal data for purposes of targeted advertising or sale.
To submit a data rights request, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension when reasonably necessary.
Fair Information Practices
The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States. In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices, we will take the following responsive action should a data breach occur: We will notify affected users via email within 30 calendar days of discovering a confirmed breach, and we will provide in-site notification as practicable. This timeline is consistent with the Colorado HB 22-1371 data breach notification requirements.
Individual Redress Principle
Our Sites agree to the Individual Redress Principle, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.
CAN-SPAM Act
The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. You may opt out of receiving commercial emails from us at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each email or by contacting us at [email protected].
COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act)
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under 13, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule. We do not specifically market to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
EXCEPTIONS TO PRIVACY POLICY
While we are committed to keeping your information secure and private, we have the following exceptions to our privacy policy: We will release specific information about you or your account to comply with any valid legal inquiry or process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute or court order. We will also release specific information in special cases, such as if there is an attempted breach of the security of the Sites, or a physical or property threat to you or others. We may also transfer user information, including personally identifiable information, in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, the sale of related assets, corporate division, or other fundamental corporate change. Information you enter when making a purchase will be shared with payment processors, financial gateways, and your credit card company to authorize credit card payments. Please note that if you give out personal information online through a discussion board or posting site, that information can be collected and used by third parties. Although we strive to protect our users’ privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of information you post in these forums.
